The Stranger By Albert Camus

I heard from multiple people that this book is great...it might just be me but I didn't think it was all that great. It was short. And that's fine, it was quick and easy. And I don't know. Not a lot happened but a lot did. The writing and length made it seem like a few days in the life of some nobody guy. But really it was like months? what? I didn't get it.

Maybe it's like the Catcher in the Rye. A book about a nobody, who in the end still turns out to be a nobody. I have to say I was pretty damn bored. And for the first part of the book I was confused at why such pointless stuff was said. I didn't see the significance of any of the characters. Except the priest in the end. He was the best part of the book and he was in like three pages.

I hope anyone who reads this doesn't get mad, thinking that this book is just super great and everyone should read it. I must not have understood it well enough. Maybe it is better in French?

On to something new, something with a plot? something longer than 100 pages?

If you have a different opinion please explain it to me..because this was just a boring plain book...

I may have been a little hard, you see...it bored me. And it made me think too much. And I guess a good book makes you think, but this was too much thinking, it was like...everything was left up to the imagination. I don't like that.
